Bio:

Svenja Ottovordemgentschenfelde is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research focuses on the relationship between social media platforms and journalism. She holds a BA in International Cultural and Business Studies and an MSc in Politics and Communication. In early 2015, she spent three months as a Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore. Svenja is also a researcher in the Parenting for a Digital Future project which is funded by the MacArthur Foundation as part of the Connected Learning Research Network (CLRN). Before starting her PhD, Svenja worked for the California-based start-up Wildfire Interactive, which was acquired by Google in mid-2012.
