Bio:

Qun Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University. A former TV anchor, journalist, and news director, Wang’s research focuses on journalism, technology, and society in the digital age. Her work about audience analytics, the interrelationship between tech industry and news industry, journalism and elections, and citizen journalism has been published in Digital Journalism, Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Journalism Practice, Journalism, and more. Wang’s doctoral dissertation, Normalization and Differentiation in Google News: A Multi-method Analysis of the World’s Largest News Aggregator, won the 2020 AEJMC Nafziger-White-Salwen Dissertation Award and Honorable Mention of the 2020 ICA Outstanding Dissertation in Journalism Studies Award. Wang holds a Ph.D. in Communication, Information, and Media from Rutgers University.
