Bio:
Chi Zhang is a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She works extensively with the Metamorphosis research group on projects that investigate the communication dynamics and conditions for civic life in multiethnic communities. Many of the projects, such as the Alhambra Source, translate research into action that fosters civic engagement and inter-ethnic relations. Her own research expertise is on ethnic media and immigrant integration, with a recent focus on first-generation Chinese immigrants.
